Vandal messages

Thanks for caring about fighting vandals on nds.wp. But I don't think, that it is necessary to post messages on the IP discussions. Few vandals will care about the English messages, and most will never see them. Cause they won't go to the discussion page or cause they are already gone when the message arrives. We never had any problems with persistent vandals. And we have good vandal defenses. All edits are looked at and no vandalism stays unnoticed (quite contrary to en.wp where lasting vandalism is common). --::Slomox:: >< 19:00, 3. Mai 2009 (CEST)

I see your point - but I wrote this message immediately after his last vandalistic action, hoping that it might stop him from performing another one. It might just have done that, because he didn't show up again. I do this sometimes on other wikis as well and very often the same thing happens. On vandalism in general: I have total confidence in the vandal defenses on nds:wiki and with my actions here I most certainly do not mean to imply that there's anything insufficient with that. I'm simply a member of the Small Wiki Monitoring Team and I will revert any vandalistic action I see on irc://irc.freenode.net/cvn-sw. Regards, Wutsje ✍ 20:16, 3. Deutsch schreiben ist für mich allerdings aber immer ziemlich schwierig.
