About me
Holding a degree in North American literary and cultural studies I have been working as a project manager in non-profit organizations with a focus on education for the past couple of years. I joined Wikimedia Deutschland in 2018 and was very happy to be part of the Wikimedia movement. I loved the diversity and dedication of the movement and deeply believed in working towards a better environment for the creation of free knowledge, step by step, everyday. I left Wikimedia in February 2022 in order to join a project working in sustainable education.
My work
I mainly worked in projects aiming at attracting and retaining new editors and volunteers for Wikimedia projects. I was especially interested in how we can onboard and retain new editors. I appreciated the variety of the projects I was involved in, ranging from outreach campaigns to community workshops.
I was an employee of Wikimedia Deutschland e.V., the German chapter of Wikimedia. This user account was used exclusively for edits in this role. --> Christine Domgörgen (WMDE)
